You cannot get a lighter color than your initial base. Indeed, a lightening is often the result of a chemical synthesis. Plant-based coloring therefore only allows tone-on-tone or darker coloring. 2/ You will no longer be able to lighten your hair if you have applied a plant-based coloring containing indigo. Indeed, indigo turns green if you attempt to lighten your hair… 3/ If you have more than 30% white hair, and if you apply a dark color (Black, Deep Chestnut, Walnut, Brown), a Prep color is necessary to allow the color to hold on white hair (see below for the instructions application). 4/ After doing a plant-based coloring, it is essential not to shampoo within the following 72 hours. The pigments of the plant-based coloring take time to fix themselves correctly on the hair and to reveal themselves completely. If you wash your hair before the end of 72 hours, you interrupt the process of your plant-based coloring and take the risk of not having the expected result.. To read: our FAQ about plant-based colors Which tools for a successful application? In order to apply your plant-based hair color in the right conditions, we recommend that you: The necessary for the color: the coloring powder, the Prep color if necessary, and hot waterThe right tools: a non-metallic bowl (preferably wooden), an application brush, a parting comb, a shower cap (included in the Greenleaf Botanique kit), a kettle or a thermometer to ensure the good water temperatureThe right care products: a certified organic shampoo, a certified organic conditioner, our HydroGel care base (optional) When is the best time to change hair color? The best time to change hair color is when you feel like it! There are no precise rules, and everything depends on your desires and your goals. However, we recommend that you do a small allergy test 48 hours before applying the color to your hair. Before purchasing for the first time, we also recommend that you seek the advice of a professional hairdresser to help you choose the right color. Do not hesitate to contact us on Facebook or Instagram for questions, advice or a personalized diagnosis!Choose my color online What is the difference between a plant-based coloring and a traditional coloring? Plant-based coloring is made of pigments of natural origin, while traditional coloring is made from synthetic dyes. Traditional hair colors often contain harsh chemicals such as ammonia, hydrogen peroxide or PPD, which can damage your hair or cause allergies. The Greenleaf Botanique plant-based hair color contains none of these harmful chemicals and is therefore much gentler on your hair. You will more easily achieve the hairstyle of your choice since your hair will be more supple and easier to comb. If you want to have total control over your hair color, plant-based coloring is the solution. To read: what is plant-based coloring? What is the lifespan of a plant-based coloring? A plant-based hair color is permanent, but the highlight can oxidize over time and make the color less shiny. To preserve your highlight for as long as possible, we recommend using a specific color-protecting shampoo and conditioner, and limiting your exposure to the sun or other heat sources. How do I apply my Greenleaf Botanical plant-based color kit? Quantity of product required for a generous application of the product as a poultice (for information only):50g - short to medium length hair (above the shoulders)100g - long hair (below the shoulders)25g powder = 75mL water (to be adjusted according to the desired texture) Water temperature when mixing:Dark/cold highlights: 20°C - 68°FBrown/neutral highlights: 40°C - 104°FLight/warm highlights: 60°C - 140°F Application tips: 1/ Apply the certified organic shampoo to hair before coloring. Towel-dry them, they must remain slightly damp. 2/ Open the sachet and pour the powder into a bowl with water at the temperature adapted to the desired highlight. Mix to create a smooth cream by following the ratio indicated above. 3/ Apply the product immediately and evenly to the areas to be covered, either with a brush or with your hands. 4/ Cover all of the hair with the shower cap. Leave on for 60min to 90min (60min for light colors, 90min for brown, warm and dark colors - the longer the resting time, the more intense and covering the result will be). 5/ Rinse with lukewarm water. Apply a certified organic care conditioner to properly hydrate the hair, rebalance the pH, close the scales and fix the pigments. Leave on for 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Do not shampoo within 72 hours after using the color for better hold over time. Dry with a hair dryer. If a Prep color is needed: start by applying Prep. Prepare the product with water at 60°C - 140°F, for a resting time of 30min on the hair. Rinse, towel-dry, then apply the desired color. How to boost hair growth? Fatigue, stress, environmental factors, even the treatments or colorings that our hair is subjected to sometimes tend to weaken it. They may appear faded, dull, or brittle, sometimes leading to hair loss (partly due to seasonal hair loss at the end of summer.) Fortunately, it is rarely dramatic and there are completely natural solutions to solve it. Here are some of our tips for boosting your hair growth, adding volume, length, and a boost of shine! 1- Massage your scalp Massaging your scalp regularly stimulates blood micro-circulation as well as the cells at the base of the hair. This will allow you to give a boost to the hair growth process. You can do self-massage movements for a few minutes before your shampoo or when applying your mask, for example, once or twice a week. 2- Cut the hair ends The ends of the hair are naturally damaged over time, due to the daily friction and aggressions they are subject to. This creates split ends that break the hair in two, which may increase over time if nothing is done, and greatly weaken the hair. Cutting the ends regularly keeps the whole hair healthy, stimulates growth and gives it a better appearance. We advise you to have your ends cut approximately every 3-4 months. 3- Avoid siliconed products As we know it well, silicones are a vast family of synthetic components, very present in conventional hair cosmetics. It creates a thin synthetic layer on the surface of the hair to give it a shiny finish. Being non 100% biodegradable, they end up accumulating on the surface of the scalp, clogging the pores and clogging the hair, altering its growth. Do not hesitate to do a hair detox if necessary to cleanse all the impurities and boost growth. 4- Rinse your hair with cold water Washing your hair with cold water strengthens it and makes it more resistant. Indeed, hot water tends to weaken the hair by opening the scales of the cuticle. Cold water, on the contrary, will close the scales of the hair and make it stronger. We therefore advise you to finish your shampoo with a splash of cold water on the whole of the hair. 5- Use a good scrub Using a scrub can detangle the hair and restore its flexibility and softness. It is also very important to rinse well to prevent the residue from attacking the scalp. We advise you to adopt a gentle and hydrating scrub, such as the D-TOX Scrub by Rodolphe&Co made of natural ingredients and rich in marine active ingredients such as mother-of-pearl, seaweed and Guérande salt. 6- Do hair masks Hydrating and repairing hair masks are ideal for damaged, brittle and fragile hair. Indeed, they will treat and fortify the hair in depth, restore its flexibility and softness, and facilitate detangling. It is recommended to apply a mask once or twice a week for healthy hair. For example, you can choose the Rodolphe&Co Hydrating Hair Mask with argan and avocado oil, rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids. 7- Use a natural bristle brush Synthetic bristle brushes tend to attack the scalp and hair, which can cause hair loss and slow down hair growth. Natural bristle brushes, on the other hand, are much gentler on the hair and scalp. It is therefore ideal to comb your hair with a brush or a comb made of natural materials, such as our natural sandalwood comb. 8- Provide vitamins and minerals Vitamins and minerals are essential elements for the proper functioning of the body, and therefore hair growth. Once ingested in the body, these nutrients will be transmitted to the bulb (or root) of the hair, which is the source of its growth. In addition to a balanced diet, we advise you to take a cure of Hair Force dietary supplements in order to reinforce the supply to your hair of zinc, magnesium, and vitamins B, C and E in particular. What is Hair Force? The Hair Force supplements are natural, organic, vegan and gluten-free food supplements, made in France with all our Rodolphe&Co professional expertise. Formulated with different Breton algae and hemp oil of French origin, these active ingredients from Organic Farming will provide you with many elements to strengthen the hair, give it shine and keep it healthy on the long term: Wakame: this seaweed naturally contains mineral salts and magnesium to nourish the hair. Fucoxanthin, a natural seaweed pigment, aims to strengthen the hair and stimulate normal growth;Sea thong is a seaweed naturally containing vitamins (including vitamin C), fiber, magnesium, calcium and potassium. It also has excellent antimicrobial and antioxidant properties;Sweet Laminaria naturally contains many antioxidants and aims to purify and soften the hair. It is also very rich in minerals (iodine, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc); The fatty acids that compose the Hemp Oil aim to strengthen and protect the hair by limiting its dehydration. It is advisable to take them during a meal in order to avoid possible unpleasant sensations in the stomach. After 3 months, Hair Force will fortify, purify and strengthen the cell, boost hair growth and prevent hair loss, and can act in addition to the action of our various dermo-serums. Bonus: essential oils to boost hair growth Essential oils are very effective for stimulating hair growth. Indeed, they contain many vitamins and essential fatty acids essential for hair growth. You can add a few drops of ylang-ylang essential oil, rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, to your shampoo or conditioner. How to naturally protect my hair this summer? Holidays, summer, the sun, the sea... Relaxing for the body as much as for the mind, holidays by the sea have many benefits, but also some small disadvantages, especially for the hair. Who has never experienced ultra-dry hair after swimming in the sea? Or the balayage that changes color after tanning in the sun? Let's decipher all this together and see how to protect our hair from these summer aggressions, with natural solutions as always. The effects of the sun It is well known that the arrival of the sun is often synonymous with vitality. It brings vitamin D, boosts morale, brightens skin, and warms hearts and minds. In terms of the hair, the sun also has a number of benefits: it notably helps calcium to bind to the hair and stimulates blood circulation in the scalp, which stimulates growth. Although vital, too much sun can bring its share of inconveniences. Too long exposure to the sun dries out the skin of the scalp (but also of the rest of the body), degrades the keratin of the hair, leads to the appearance of dandruff and premature aging of the cells. The hair is dehydrated and becomes weakened, brittle, ends split, and falls more easily at back to school season (see our article on seasonal hair loss). The effects of sea water Widely used in thalassotherapy and in marine spas, seawater is beneficial to health due to its richness in trace elements, minerals, and zinc in particular. It has relaxing properties, stimulating blood circulation, but also healing, regeneration and cleansing of the skin and scalp. However, and especially for dry scalps, sea salt can be particularly drying and irritating, causing itching and degradation of the scalp, especially if you start scratching it... How to protect the hair from the sun? The first thing to do to protect your hair on vacation is to protect it from the sun: limit the duration of sun exposure, avoid exposure at times when the sun is strongest, and do not forget your hat, cap or scarf. You can reinforce this protection with natural vegetable oils. Due to their richness in polyphenols, omegas, unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, oils such as argan oil, sesame oil or castor oil nourish, protect and regenerate the hair fiber naturally. We recommend that you take the Botanic Oil by Rodolphe&Co with you for its unique complex of 5 certified organic vegetable oils and its natural sunscreen, to be applied before sea bathing to protect against salt and UV rays. You can also adopt the Pearly Gel to deeply hydrate your hair while protecting it against UV rays and pollution with its natural filters. It is particularly suitable for curly, wavy or frizzy hair, to better redraw the curls and have perfect hair, even on vacation! And after swimming? After swimming, it is important to wash your hair well with fresh water, in order to get rid of all the salt residue that remains attached to the hair. Indeed, the action of the sun combined with salt crystals contributes more to damage the hair fiber and the scalp… Wash your hair with a suitable shampoo, as well as a treatment based on water, proteins, amino acids, vitamins... for their much more advanced hydrating properties. Choose a treatment rich in aloe vera, keratin or vegetable keratin, such as the no-rinse Rodolphe&Co Hydrating Care, or the Hydrating Hair Mask for an in-depth action. (Tip of the expert: leave the Mask on for 3-5 minutes, with a warm towel if possible, for even more effective results!). You can also apply Calypso Tropical Oil for a soothing and regenerating action after sun. For blonde hair, the Ultimate Blonde Care is perfect for neutralizing false highlights caused by the sun or the pool, correcting the tone and deeply hydrating the hair! First, know that there are three thicknesses of hair: fine, medium and thick hair. Fine hair is generally more fragile and tends to break easily. Thick hair, on the other hand, is more resistant and needs more nourishing products. Depending on your hair thickness, you must use a specific shampoo and product that correspond to your scalp and hair type. If your hair fiber is fine, you will be able to find out how to take care of your hair in this article. Fine hair requires light and gentle products so as not to weigh it down. Too aggressive shampoos risk damaging them. Fine hair also needs deep hydration. It is therefore important to choose products containing hydrating ingredients such as aloe vera or shea butter. In this article, we are going to show you which shampoo for fine hair to use. Fine hair: what natural shampoo to use? The caracteristics of a fine hair First, let's start by understanding what fine hair is. A fine hair is a hair with a smaller diameter than a normal hair: in general, it is less thick than a standard sewing thread. (image credits: juste.paris) With such a small diameter, a fine hair is also more fragile. It tends to: Be more brittleOften lack volumeGrease easilySplit easily To take the best care of your fine hair, choose a sulfate-free natural shampoo. You should know that on shampoos specially made for fine hair, sulfates are very aggressive detergents that tend to dry out the hair. They are also irritating to the scalp. Natural sulfate-free shampoos are therefore perfect for fine hair. Inappropriate care and shampoos, too harsh treatments, too much bleaching or the use of heat without protection can weaken them even more. Being determined by genetics, the diameter of a hair cannot be changed. It is nevertheless possible to give volume to a naturally fine hair. With the right shampoo and care, we can help strengthen them and even give them volume! What is the best shampoo for fine hair? This nature of hair tends to grease again quickly, so it is better to adopt a shampoo that fights precisely against this. Also choose a natural shampoo, free of silicone, without fatty substances, to avoid weighing down fine hair, which needs lightness to get volume. The Mineral Volumizing Shampoo by Rodolphe&Co meets all of these criteria, and is one of the best shampoos for fine hair. In the form of shampoo powder, it does not contain any fatty substances and therefore does not weigh down the hair. It is to be used on wet hair and lathers like a liquid shampoo, bringing volume and shine to fine hair. 100% natural and certified organic, its Earth & Sea alliance based on bentonite and oyster shell powder provides an ultra-remineralizing effect for the hair and scalp. Its exclusive formula provides a balancing effect on the scalp, forming a protective shield against pollution, leaving the hair clean longer by regulating sebum. Perfect for hair that gets greasy quickly! Complete list of the ingredients here! What beauty routine for fine hair? In addition to the Mineral Volumizing Shampoo, we recommend some natural and organic care products, particularly suitable for fine hair. The Hydrating Care, to provide the necessary hydration to brittle hair. No-rinse, this spray treatment will revitalize fine hair gently and lightly. It is particularly rich in vegetable keratin substitute, proteins and hyaluronic acid to provide all the necessary care. The Ocean Mist as a leave-in styling treatment: with a few sprays at the roots, the Ocean Mist restores volume to fine hair and texturizes it for an after-beach "wavy" effect. Formulated with the same salinity as the ocean, it instantly remineralizes the hair. The Botanic Oil is an ultra nourishing oil, particularly suitable for dry and/or split ends hair. Its professional complex of 5 organic oils brings nutrition, protection and shine. Non-greasy and 100% natural, it can be applied to dry hair daily or in an oil bath, perfect for protecting ends and repairing split ends! Finally, the 100% natural and ORGANIC Hair Force dietary supplements, based on French seaweed and hemp oil, can complete this routine and strengthen the hair over the long term! You can also use food supplements with brewer's yeast to strengthen your hair. Beer is rich in vitamins and minerals, which makes it very nourishing for the hair. It also contains procerin, a substance that stimulates hair growth. Should I ban coloring if I have fine hair? The best solution is to go for a natural color which, unlike chemical colors, does not weaken the hair fiber by penetrating to the heart of the hair. The mineral coloring, without ammonia or MEA, is deposited only on the superficial layers of the hair. The plant-based coloring, 100% based on organic plants, coats the hair and acts as a treatment that will care for it even more. Natural coloring coupled with a Mineral Balayage is a great way to play on nuances and give a depth effect to fine hair, so there is no banishing coloring! How to thicken fine hair? To give volume to your hair, regularly make hair masks, an oil bath composed of essential oil, such as vegetable oils with almond oil, castor oil, jojoba oil and Argan oil. You can also use coconut oil and ylang-ylang known to accelerate growth. Apply the mixture to damp hair, leave for 30 minutes under a hot towel then wash your hair with a gentle shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with cold water to close the scales of the hair and thus gain shine. For a styling effect, spray a little bit of floral water on your fine hair then dry it with a diffuser. This natural trick will give volume to your fine hair. Natural shampoos and hair care suitable for fine hair exist, but be careful not to go for a treatment too rich that would weigh your hair down. On Rodolphe&Co you will find professional products suitable for your hair type. If your hair is fragile, you will find on our site a suitable product for a successful care formula. What product to use to give volume to fine hair? The Rodolphe&Co products will deeply cleanse fine hair and the scalp, while giving them volume. A question about a product or a practical tip? Do not hesitate to contact us. Rodolphe&Co is a professional site.

How to properly make an oil bath? You want to make a gesture for your damaged hair and make an oil bath as you are often advised, but do not know how to go about it?Follow the guide! The benefits of a hair oil Hair, like the rest of the body, is a living part of our body that requires regular attention and maintenance.. Vegetable oils, due to their richness in ceramides, fatty acids and vitamins, provide a number of benefits for the hair, depending on the oil chosen. In general, vegetable oils nourish, strengthen and protect the hair. Externally, it helps to soften them, smooth the hair fiber, remove frizz and make the hair shine. Some also help regulate sebum production, stimulate cell renewal, repair split ends or even stimulate hair growth. The application of a vegetable oil is especially beneficial for dry, brittle and/or damaged hair, in order to limit the damage and regenerate the health of the hair. Frizzy hair, which tends to be drier and more brittle than other hair types, often requires more attention and oil-based care. The benefits of an oil bath on the hair One of the many possible applications of a hair oil is the oil bath. It is a deep treatment that nourishes and hydrates the hair in depth, and thus gives the hair the benefit of all the active ingredients of the oil that is used. Be careful not to take the oil bath literally: it's not about literally bathing your hair! We explain to you below in the article how to make an oil bath properly! Why make an oil bath with the Rodolphe&Co Botanic Oil? The Botanic Oil by Rodolphe&Co is a 100% natural professional complex of 5 precious and organic oils. Particularly suitable for dry and split ends, it allows nutrition, hydration and shine of the hair for a natural shine and a soft touch. This complex of oils also allows various actions to protect the hair against external aggressions, such as UV rays or pollution. So what is the Botanic Oil made of? Organic argan oil: sonsidered one of the best hair care products for dry hair, argan oil has superb nourishing properties for the hair. It helps fighting against the appearance of split ends (which particularly affects long hair), and stimulates cell renewal, which helps with hair growth. Organic sweet almond oil: with its greasier texture, sweet almond oil nourishes the hair, restores shine and suppleness, and stimulates the production of sebum to protect the hair. Organic avocado oil: rich in moisturizing agents, proteins and vitamins, avocado oil restores shine and softness to the hair, while creating a protective film around the hair fiber to protect it from external aggressions such as pollution or UV rays. Organic macadamia oil: rich in palmitoleic acid and oleic acid, with a delicious nutty smell, macadamia oil helps protect hair while nourishing, regenerating and soothing. Organic sesame oil: sesame oil has an effective action of nutrition, hydration and protection of the hair against UV rays. How to properly make an oil bath? The oil bath has to be done before a shampoo, on dry or lightly damp hair.Take the equivalent of about one to two tablespoons of the Botanic Oil, and apply to your hair at the lengths. You can use the rest of the oil to give yourself a little hair massage. Leave on for 1 hour minimum, the best is to keep the treatment all night, wrapping your hair in a hot towel. The heat will allow the scales to open and the active ingredients in the oil to penetrate better. To heat the towel, you can simply moisten it and put it in the microwave for 1 min.Finish your oil bath by shampooing as usual. Lather it all over the scalp, and repeat the operation if necessary. Finish rinsing with cold water to close the cuticles of the hair and make them shine. To add a touch of hydration to this treatment, add a small amount of the Hydrating Hair Mask and do the Infinium Ritual! Vigilant points: 1/ Be careful that the hair is not dripping, but simply covered with a thin layer of oil. Too much oil does not boost the active ingredients and can, on the contrary, cause unwanted reactions: suffocation and saturation of the scalp, increased production of sebum and dandruff at the roots... So adapt the quantity to your volume of hair! 2/ Do not multiply the oil baths to amplify the effects. Adopt this deep treatment as a ritual once a week, that is enough in most cases. You can even space them out for up to two weeks: your hair must have time to benefit from the active ingredients provided to it! 3/ SOS colored hair: will the bath cause the color to fade? No way ! The Rodolphe&Co Botanic Oil is completely suitable for colored hair, no risk!
